The Fisheries
For over 40 years, The Fisheries has been a cherished family-run sanctuary for anglers and wildlife alike. Nestled near the picturesque village of Ingatestone, it has become a place where fishermen come to test their skills, unwind, and connect with the great outdoors. While the lake is predominantly home to hardy, sought-after carp, it also holds a thriving population of roach and tench, each adding their own unique character to the water.
But what truly sets The Fisheries apart is the family’s deep commitment to the land and its inhabitants. The sprawling grounds around the lakes are home to a rich variety of wildlife, from waterfowl to small mammals, all living in harmony with the surrounding environment. Over the years, the family has worked tirelessly to preserve this delicate ecosystem, ensuring that the balance between fisherman and wildlife is carefully maintained.

From thoughtfully designed habitat areas for local species to sustainable fishing practices that promote the health of the fish, every decision made is guided by respect for nature. The family knows that the health of the lakes is intrinsically linked to the well-being of the surrounding environment, and it’s this deep respect for the natural world that has allowed The Fisheries to thrive for four decades.
As anglers cast their lines and the sun sets over the water, there’s a quiet sense of pride in knowing that the lakes will continue to provide, not just for fishermen, but for generations of wildlife to come.
